Weird, indeed.
I tried matching the words backwards with the real ones, but I didn't find much of a resemblance...

The Beatles were the first to experiment with that kind of thing.
A lot of people thought that Hotel California was also about Satanists etc, only to find out later it had nothing to do with that at all. In fact, the Eagles were 'actually' writing about the temptations of money when they became famous.
Anyway, the band denies hidden Satanic messages. They were probably screwing around and managed to get "satan" in there and the rest was from people reading into it too much. Most people can hear the "Satan" but it was only after reading the reverse lyrics that they began to sound like words.

ya i know, the betles one is on that, "Paul is a dead man, miss him, miss him, miss him" That one isn't true. Here it is straight from snopes I'm So Tired: "..Paul's dead man, miss him miss him.." (what you hear when you play the very end of the song and the beginning of "Blackbird" backwards). REALITY: Answered above; actually unintelligible gibberish backwards. If you want to read more, go here www.snopes.com/music/hidden/hidden.htm#beatles
