First of all I would like to thank Corey who brought over some spare cards up for sale which helped everyone at this tournament further increase their deck power.
Well we had a few people missing, and people left during the actual thing so this tree is really messed up. We did not have Jarrod, Stace, or Oliver for this one.
Tree
Ok, I know that looks really confusing, but with luck the following will clear things up.
Round 1
Match 1: Brent.P vs Corey, Rookie vs Experienced.
Well Brent still did no have his own deck so he had to use Jarrod's deck. Corey on the other hand was once again sporting a new powered up deck and it proved to be too much for Brent. Corey took this one 2-0.
Match 2: Jordan vs James, Clash of the brothers.
As you may remeber this was also a match which took place in the first event. However the outcome was diffrent as I could not get a good draw and James sporting his new deck (without about 100 cards) beat me 2-0. However as you move along you will find out that the tournament had not heard the last of me.
Match 3: LT Brent vs Peter, Blue eyes vs Kuriboh.
Peter sporting his new deck featuring two of the games rarest and most powerful cards, Kuriboh and Raigeki, would it prove to be enough to beat Brent?.. Well not exactly, Brent won 2-0 in a matter of minutes. Although it was short it was fun to watch as Peter used a " Soul Exhange" card to summon a "Battle Ox." Good times.
Match 4: Kevin vs Greg, LT2 vs Hands.
Both of these guys are rookies with new powerful decks. I personaly selected most of Greg's cards so I knew he had what it took to at least put of a fight against Kevin. However I did not expect to see him win what I believe was a 2-1 victory.
Round 2
Match 1: James vs Corey, Two rebuild decks face off.
I did not see this one because of duling elsewhere, but I did happen to hear some of it. According to James the final was 2-1 for Corey as he mad his way to the finals for the second time in a row.
Round 3:
Ok once again things get tricky, LT Brent was supost to take on Greg to see who goes to the finals but he and Kevin left early so once again a new round was added. We added in the three people who had been wiped out in order to find out who would take Brent's spot.
Match 1: Greg vs Peter, Fire vs Metal.
Greg's new and improved fire deck had to defend his spot against Peter's new perfect machine king based deck. Peter seemed to be in good hands as he had his perfect machine king out about five times. However the flames in Greg's deck proved too hot as he bured Peter with a 2-0 win.
Match 2: Jordan vs Brent.P, The fallen return.
Who would take LT Brent's spot?, time to find out. This was one of the most fun duels I have ever had because I have never seen someone miss use cards so many times, no offence Brent. Playing traps like magic cards is just hillarious and even after I explained the special ability of my " Lord of D." he still tried to snag my " Luster Dragon" with a "Change of Heart" card, we both had a good laugh. Anyways I ended up winning 2-0 to fill in for LT Brent and face Greg in the semi-finals.
Round 4
Match 1: Jordan vs Greg, Red eyes vs Red flames
Well I was excited to face off against Greg's new deck, which I helped build, for the first time. Even with all the new powerful cards he had added he was unable to draw any of them and I won 2-0 to make my way to the finals against Corey for the second time in a row.
Finals: Corey vs Jordan - Duel of the Red eyes Black Dragon
Once again we faced off, only we both had new and improved decks with even more power than ever before. However even with Corey's new seemingly unbeatable cards I was able to avoid having any of them used against me and I won 2-0.
Well I am still unsure if we will be holding an actual tournament next time rather than a total duel off to establish rankings amongst the group which can be used to help with the next tournament. The date for this is still unknown, however rest easy knowning I will be posting it.
