Jordan I was telling you about this yesterday.
You might have seen these or something like them before. They are tool-assisted speed-runs of video games (mostly old gen consoles).
Here is Super Mario World ran in 10 minutes and 32 seconds.
Here is Super Mario World completely done in 1 hour, 21 minutes, and 30 seconds.
You guys have probably seen tool-assisted demos before, so it's no surprise that they are playing like machines. Either way, it's very entertaining to watch how they handle certain situations with maximum speed in mind. Some times I just think they show off with unecessary antics, though. But it's undertandable because the speed-runs are made for entertainment, and you can't entertain without putting on a show. And danger = entertainment.
There are some pretty neato demos on there.
If you get a problem with trying to watch the videos, you may need the Ffdshow codec. Here.
You can watch them either one of two ways:
Download the bigger AVI file via Bittorrent and watch that like a movie.
or
Download the smaller movie file and load that with the same emulator used to record the demo, along with the same rom used to make the demo.
I find the first way to be easier in the case that I don't have the rom, but the ones I am interested in, I have. Also because it's just a heck of a lot easier. :D
So yeah, there's show with the dinner.
