well i cant believe people are still talking about that whole 9/11 thing, well i dont much care for it anymore, i mean i havent heard a word on the school attacks in russia.. but people always seem to focus on the 9/11 thing...
so what do you think, should they just give it a rest already or keep talking about it and making tv programs about it like it was world war 3? which it wasnt..

Yeah, people use 9/11 for everything these days, but that's no reason to try to say it was something less than it was. Thousands of people died at work. Innocent people, who had families. What if you your mother died at work because of radical Christians? You wouldn't drop it.

ya... cause all our channals are too flooded with the 9/11 crap.. most of our chanals are from the US, we had the russian thing in our papers a few times, i didnt say it was americas fault im just saying, why dont they do what they did for the 9/11 thing.. you know nothing but that for a week on tv... i would like to learn more about the russian thing, but its almost like it didnt happen...

Jordan, they aren't playing news on it all day every day. The past while has been the 3 year anniversary of when it happened so they will have news on it. It was a big thing that changed a lot. To some people like us, who are Canadian and don't live near there or have much interest or knowledge in any of the world's events, it may not seem like such a big deal, but it is.

On a related note, I was talking to one of my brother's friends who's in my PE class, and he was saying that when he goes to a job interview, they'll ask him where he is from and he'll say from Iran, and right then and there they'll say no. White Spot did that to him, so he threw a brick through one of their windows  |

Yep, he's Iranian.
And also, my brother works with another guy, who also happens to be from Iran, and they took a buisness trip to Atlanta a couple of days after 9/11, and there were a whole ton of people in the group they went with, mostly caucasian, and the only guy that got stopped and searched was the Iranian fella. They detained him for a couple of hours and went through all of his baggage and everyone else was left alone.
Pretty sad that 9/11 created so much prejudice against people of middle-eastern descent.
Oh and on that video from the other topic Brainwashing 101, some guy was getting death threats n stuff because he's Sikh and wears a turban.

i know man its making the US very paranoyed, but like Mr Grill said its more than likley cause of wealth issues, or they were just affraid of them so they tried to destory shit... but i still dont see a point on draging it on and being mean towards people from the middle east..
oh and james, i heard something about a special report on it yesterday, i was like "What the fuck!"

Yeah, it is pretty ridiculous. But given how harsh of a blow was taken from the attacks they are, where they can, taking as many precautions as they can, as unreasonable as it sounds or is.
I remember back when we went to Florida, it took us like, 10 minutes to get through the metal detector, I can't remember what it was, but dad had something that kept getting detected. Mean time alls I had was my Beast Wars transformer. (That millipede guy.)
Nothing to do with this, but I was just reminded.
